Date : 22nd August 2007 Venue : Anjuman- I-Islam High School, Mumbai   The second event was a Seminar entitled "Democracy, Secularism and Nationalism” organized to commemorate India's sixtieth year of Independence. It was held on the 22nd August 2007 at the premises of The Anjuman-I-Islam High School, Mumbai. Shri Sami Khatib, President of Anjuman-I-Islam Board, presided over the event and Shri Hasan Kamal a renowned writer was the Chief Guest. Inspiring speeches on the subject were delivered by Prof. Ram Puniyani, Fr. S. M. Michael S.J., Maulana Shoaib Koti, Shri Javed Anand and Smt. Dr. Zeenat Shaukat Ali.   We thank the Janab Sami Khatib, President and Dr. Zahir Kazi, General Secretary, Anjuman-I-Islam (Presently President) for their full co-opreation and assistance for the use of all the facilities of The Akbar Peerbhoy Hall at The Anjuman-I-Islam Secretariat, Dadabhoy Road for our second event.
